an ode to the family cageApr 8, '10 5:19 PM
for everyone
Bursting the Bubble Cage
I gaze at the destroyed shelter
Once a home to gentle minds
Once a house to a loving home
Once before it was left behind
I sought the blinding splinters
For a small sign of that light
For a tinge of memory
A lingering ghost in the night
I coughed a decade of dust
Checking if it was still there
The dried up tears, the silent fears
The happy moments shared
I felt the old ashes
Feeling it was somehow wiser than me
Being witnessed to both knowledgeable failure
And triumphant glory
No, I cannot put into words
It cannot suffice
No, I cannot make you understand
For it was but a momentary bliss
As I leave our torn down haven
That I will surely miss

Your poem, the phone call, your cough due to the dust, gaano katagal kayo tumira dyan? And how is poignant pronounced in the french way?
Feel nostalgic with your house. I've only been there once, saw it a couple of times through the webcam, but yeah, it's a home.
